Unfairly considered Lisbon’s little sister, Porto is in my opinion one of the most underrated cities in Europe with a strong identity of its own. The decadence of the houses that are falling down mixes up with the grandiosity of other buildings like its cathedral.
Porto is a city of contrasts where the art nouveau, the avenues and the baroque churches spread all over the city. All of this creates a vibrant atmosphere culminated by the typical Portuguese colourful tiles. The busy life, the port wine and the great cuisine from the region makes Porto a great place to visit.
